Excellent place with typical izakaya food plus some Niigata items. A good selection of nihonshu. With that, I recommend eihire(stingray fin). Every food here is going to pair with some kind of alcohol. うずら煮(soy sauce simmered quail eggs) was great. Nigisu (a type of smelt fish) was perfect with beer. Reminds me of koiwashi. First time trying tochio tofu. With miso was great, but plain was a little dry.

Excellent cheap price various menu!

This side of the station is at the back, so there are fewer restaurants than on the other side, but if you're looking for fish-based Japanese food, this is probably the best place. All the staff at the store are kind and efficient. Ordering is smooth and the food comes out piping hot. And when you think of Niigata, you think of sake. The drinking comparison set is not on the menu, but if you ask, they will prepare a set for you, whether it's a single cup or a half cup. In addition to the regular menu, we have recommended menus, so you can enjoy the seasonal flavors by ordering them. The room was like a semi-private room, but I could hear the voices next door, but since I'm from the Kansai area, I couldn't understand most of what they were saying, so it didn't bother me. The price is reasonable, and if you stay at Nagaoka New Otani, you can have dinner here.
