Shizuoka, Japan｜Murakami

A lovely little local restaurant with super friendly service and relaxed. Food was excellent, some of the best experienced during my trip.

This is a sushi and izakaya kappo restaurant that reopened in Shimizu in October. It's about 1000 yen by taxi from the north exit of JR Shimizu Station. We are particular about the rice and seaweed we use, and are proud of our dishes that bring out the flavors of the ingredients. All the fish we use are freshly purchased from the Shimizu market. We recommend everything, but especially the sashimi, horse sashimi, pickled steak, and sea eel are special dishes that you should try. The host is also a certified sommelier, so he is very good at selecting wines. They also offer snacks that go well with the wine. Each item is well thought out and reasonably priced, so be sure to give it a try. You can't go wrong if you make a reservation before you go, so we recommend making reservations for both lunch and dinner.

No matter what you eat, you can't go wrong. The sashimi, fried chicken, and even the salad were all delicious. Each dish feels like it has been carefully prepared, and the ingredients are carefully selected. I think it's great to use for entertaining or for a quick drink. A recommended place if you want to eat delicious food. The customer service was good and I felt warm.
