Suwa, Nagano, Japan｜Soba TOMIYA

One of the famous things in the Suwa area is soba, so I really wanted to try it at least once. Ultimately, meeting this store was a blessing for me. I was very impressed by the perfect texture of the soba, which was chewy and not soggy, and the harmony of the fried tofu and fried shrimp that came as side dishes. If I come to the Suwa area again, I will definitely visit again. The service from the friendly owner is also good.

We came to Suwa to experience the real Japan. This restaurant not even met our expectations, it exceeded them by FAR. The owner is a really nice guy, who speaks very good english! We’re very humbled to have gotten into a conversation with a few of the locals, who were exceptionally nice. I cant stress enough how lucky we were to find this place. Also the Soba were very very good! I cant thank them enough! I still recommend to learn a few words of japanese, especially while entering the shop. This makes it much easier to get into conversation with the locals

The location is very close to the station. I heard from friends that many celebrities have eaten at this restaurant. The food tastes great and the price is moderate. The hand-made soba tastes very fragrant, and the wooden sign on the wall has side dishes available that day. Pair it with Gao Tian, ​​a famous local wine, and eat super refreshing. The boss is enthusiastic and can feel the atmosphere of a small Japanese restaurant.
