Chino, Nagano, Japan｜Sarashina Soba

I had the mushroom soba. I am very satisfied with the large volume. Although it is near the station, there is a parking lot, which is nice. I plan to use it again when I go to Chino and Suwa areas.

Visited a little after 12:00 during lunch time on a weekday. There are counter seats and table seats inside the store, and the table seats were almost full, but the counter seats were all empty. It is located a few minutes walk from the station. There is a parking lot right in front of the hotel, so you can either drive or walk. This time I ordered Tsuke Toro Soba. It's called Tororo Steamer. The noodles are larger and more voluminous than at regular restaurants. Normally it weighs about 150g before boiling, but this shop seems to only weigh 200g. The noodles are hard and chewy, and have a very delicious soba flavor. The soba soup had a strong taste and matched the noodles. Tororo is a bit loose, so if you put soba tsuyu in a troro bowl, the tsuyu will quickly sink to the bottom. Overall, it was very tasty, filling and very satisfying.

This is a famous Shinshu soba restaurant. It's close to Chino Station and they also make their own soba noodles. Both cold soba and warm soba are excellent, and the portions of soba are larger than at regular restaurants. It is only open during lunch time and will close when the noodles run out, so we recommend arriving early.
