Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜Handmade soba north gate

Tasty meal. I know some people wrote that you're not served much soba but I felt there was plenty. Happy with the food and the service. I had the Sobagaki and the Cold soba with tempura. Oishi! They have an english menu. I recommend googling how to eat soba if you're a foreigner and don't know.

Very delicious soba, beautiful authentic interior design, very friendly and English-speaking stuff. They even have a well-written English menu :) highly recommend!

In all honesty I'm by no means a soba expert, and this was our first meal in Matsumoto, however this off the beaten path soba house was a delight. I had the cold noodles with hot dipping sauce, with chicken balls. The chicken was absolutely melt in your mouth. Great classic Japanese atmosphere, with of course super friendly service. Reasonable prices, with English menu.
