Ueda, Nagano, Japan｜Maruya

I went to about the same time it opened. The walnut soba had just the right amount of sweetness and was so delicious! Probably my favorite in Ueda city! When someone comes to visit us from outside of the prefecture, this is the restaurant we would love to take them to for hospitality.

Visited when I returned home The store has been around for a long time, but it has been beautifully renovated and has a nice appearance. Ordered a large serving of walnut soba and tempura. Regular soba is 200g, medium is 250g, and large is 300g. Maybe medium-sized is just right. Compared to Kusabue, the buckwheat noodles had a slightly higher flavor and had a chewier texture, which I liked better. Kurumi herself might prefer Kusabue. The soup is darker than Kusabue, but the taste is delicious. The amount of tempura included was about 2 servings. There were two shrimp in it. Overall it was delicious and I would like to come back again!

The staff was very efficient and the food was pleasant and delicious.
