I got their special dish of katsu with sauce and it was amazing. I’ve been in Japan about a month now and it was one of my favorite dishes I’ve had since I got here! Staff was super friendly and there is an English menu as well

I visited for lunch. The soba noodles are delicious, but the sauce on this katsudon is also irresistible. Everything was delicious. It was a blink of an eye. Moreover, it is surprisingly reasonable and wallet-friendly.

I grew up eating Matsuya's soba and katsudon since I was in elementary school. This is one of the best cutlet bowls in my life✨ Even though it is a soba restaurant, the meat is extremely delicious and soft, and even I, who doesn't like meat oil, can eat this loin cutlet bowl deliciously for some reason. There is also an egg-stitched katsudon, but Matsuya's katsudon is the sauce katsudon. This level of cutlet bowl comes with miso soup, vegetable salad, and pickles, and the price of 900 yen is unbelievably cheap. It was 800 yen until a while ago, so I'm still surprised 😲 The miso soup and pickles that come with the katsudon casually change depending on the season and time, so that's one of the things I'm looking forward to.
