More Comments at Google MapI came from Niigata looking for soba and stumbled upon this place by chance after seeing the word Anshin on the signboard. I had mori soba, but the difference between mori soba and zaru soba is whether or not it has nori on it. Soba noodles are voluminous, chewy, cheap, and delicious. The staff at the restaurant were very nice, and when I tried to take a photo, they showed me the angle from where the steam from the soba-yu could come in. This is an old-fashioned soba restaurant in town.
I ordered the Tenju set of Zaru Soba. The soba noodles were smooth and delicious. The tempura was freshly fried and went well with the sauce. The next customer also ordered the same thing. I want to come again❗️
The temperature was 30 degrees Celsius, and the two of us ordered grated soba and mori soba (large serving). The ingredients for the oroshi soba were grated radish, green onion, daikon radish, dried bonito flakes, chopped seaweed, and wasabi. The grated radish and cold soba had a slight spiciness. It's delicious and will blow away the heat when you bring it to the mouth. A small bowl of boiled eggplant and pickled cucumbers are also very delicious. The standard mori soba is reasonably priced, plentiful, and very delicious. I wonder if these two dishes are perfect for the summer heat⁉️
