Absolutely delicious “black tendon” colored tempura, kakiage, and pickles. We enjoyed the secluded, quiet location, perfect for listening to the crackling and popping tempura oil and kitchen sounds during an evening dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience, even with our limited Japanese language skills!

This restaurant was featured in "The Lonely Gourmet", so I made a special trip to check it out this time. Arrived during dinner time, it opened at 5 o'clock, and we were the first to arrive. The store is really small, with only one row of counter seats, and the aisle at the back is full of stuff. All three of the boss's family were there, but the boss's wife kept a straight face for some reason and basically didn't speak. We ordered black tempura rice bowl, vegetable tempura rice bowl, shinka and sashimi platter. The black tempura was served after soaking in the sauce. The coating was soft and had no crispy texture, but it tasted very good. I finally tasted the authentic new flavor here, not salty at all, and the texture was still crispy. tasty. The vegetable tempura is also very popular! Crispy on the outside and soft and waxy on the inside, with the mushrooms giving a sweet feeling. One set meal was enough to fill us up, but we ordered other things, but we were too embarrassed to have any leftovers, so we had to finish it all, and we were exhausted. The two of them spent a total of 4,330 yen. If they only ordered set meals, it should be just over 2,000 yen.

Delicious tempura! The owners are very lovely elderly couple. They do all the preparation, cooking and serving of food. They're very friendly, even allowed us to take photos and videos of them. We were very loud inside with lots of laughing and they were even laughing with us. The service was impeccable! Hey gave us free flowing water and even free dessert afterwards 🤗
