Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan｜からやま 千歳店

I heard that Karayama had opened in Chitose, so I wanted to eat fried chicken for dinner, so I visited there. When I stopped by a shop along Route 12 in Sapporo some time ago, I remembered that the regular set of 4 pieces of fried chicken was quite filling, so I ordered 3 pieces. Also, I forgot to ask for less rice. For me, 3 small pieces of fried chicken seems to be just right for dinner. There are salted squid and pickled radish as side dishes, so you can go with the rice if you like. The salted squid was not salty or spicy and went perfectly with the rice. The pickles were also delicious with just the right amount of seasoning. Each piece of fried chicken is quite large, so it's filling, but the meat was delicious and the batter was crispy. There were two types of sauce: the extra sauce with sesame seeds and the sweet and spicy sauce, but I like the extra sauce with sesame seeds to be spicy enough that it doesn't interfere with the taste of the fried meat, and eat it with a little bit of toppings like sesame seeds on top. I liked it. The miso soup contained grated yam kelp and was delicious with just the right amount and salt level. It's only been open for a little over two weeks, so there were a lot of employees and the service was quick. It was around 7:30 pm on a weekday, but there was a steady stream of customers and the seats were mostly full. However, the disappointing thing was that the tea was in a thermos-like container and there was a teacup, so I thought it was going to be hot tea, but it was cold tea... If possible, I would appreciate it if you could make me some warm tea at some point.

It was very delicious. I ordered fried chicken and was surprised at how crispy it was.
