Kanda's grilled mutton restaurant "Karako", the word means "god" in the Ainu language of Hokkaido. To dare to choose such a powerful name, the owner must be quite confident in his own cuisine. The somewhat handsome clerk recommended freshly chilled "raw lamb shoulder", "Genghis Khan" marinated in sweet ginger sauce, and "lamb rump" that is firmer and less oily. Personally, I still like the "raw lamb shoulder" the most. It is full of oil and just tender, but the "Genghis Khan" is also more delicious than what I have eaten before. Halfway through the meal, the waiter brought us two lamb chops, which are usually one of my must-orders. Unfortunately, today's menu was marked sold out. The clerk said that the lamb chops brought in today were too small and could not be sold, so we were lucky. Get entertained. Finally, I followed the table next door and ordered ramen. I saw the waiter pouring the sauce onto the iron plate. The sauce boiled instantly and melted into the suet and mutton paste left by the barbecue before adding the noodles. The texture of the noodles is rather hard, which is quite distinctive, but because the charcoal fire continues to heat it underneath, the noodles become saltier the more you eat them, which is a bit annoying. But what impressed us most was the Hokkaido creamed potato. The cream was actually presented in the form of shavings. The cold Whipped cream melted gently in the mouth, and the milky aroma spread and merged with the potato. The whole physical change was very fascinating.
Fresh lamb is delicious! And the sauce is delicious! The pickled Genghis Khan is also soft and you will eat more and more. There are not many types of one item, but it is just right for resting chopsticks. I think the price is reasonable given the quality. Rather, the clerk's response was good, and it was a comfortable place that I would like to visit again.
