This restaurant was really awesome. Not only was the food spectacular, but the sake was well chosen and delicious, and the ambience was warm and inviting. Very good sashimi, fried shrimp, pickles and even the onigiri was top shelf. I can’t wait to go back!

I visited on Saturday before 12:00. There were only 10 seats at the counter, and it was 80% full, but I was able to get in easily. Monja Street also gets crowded quickly, so it's best to visit early. Basically, the menu is set at a set meal restaurant. Sashimi is available individually or assorted. There are many types of grilled fish. This time it's an assortment of sashimi set meals. ¥1,800. It comes with 3 types of sashimi, potato salad, pickles, shellfish miso soup, and rice. There are many regulars at the restaurant, who seem to be eating and drinking while chatting with the owner, and there are also a few tourists. Does the landlady also drink? I was taking orders while asking questions like this. Ugh, I'm driving today so I can't drink, I thought to myself. Miso soup with dashi stock is great! All the sashimi is delicious. I quickly ran out of food. It seemed like they were serving ready-made potato salad, and as a potato salad lover, I was happy to have it, but I was disappointed. It's just a shame here. I think I'd like to eat grilled food while drinking beer next time.

The restaurant is run by an elderly couple, so there are probably many regular customers. I can hear the pleasant exchange of small talk, and the L-shaped counter is like a chain reaction of people saying how delicious it is. It's been a while since I saw Masuya. Last time I ate Gindara Saikyoyaki, I was impressed, but this time I ordered the salt-grilled salmon kama. The grilling time is very slow, and the obon with rice, miso soup, potato salad, pickles, and grated daikon radish is served just before the grilling is done. One of Masuya's most popular items is the crispy freshly cooked rice. I think every Japanese person would feel happy about this. The cooking quality is also exquisite. The last entry was a salmon kama that looked like it would be very filling. The salmon ones are the best. This is delicious no matter what. The cooking was done well and the amount of salt was so good that I thought it couldn't be any more or less. I stabbed the bridge and loosened the salmon meat, thinking that it might be a little too big for one bite, but when I stuffed it into my mouth, the wave of happiness returned again. The portion of rice is small, but the price remains the same even if you get a second helping. You can get a little happiness for just 1,300 yen.
