Very nice food. We had set menu for 8000 each and it was great experience. Highly recommend. Young lady who served us was very friendly and helpful

First night in Tokyo = first night of deliciousness at an Izakaya called Kanae in Shinjuku that specializes in the best fish from around Japan, especially in the form of sashimi and tempura. Sure we were up 27 hours straight and walking zombies but so worth it. The sashimi was simply sublime . It’s been so long since we have been able to go to Japan (2019) I almost forgot how much better sashimi is here. The ankimo was incredible in both texture and flavor - we split 4 orders lol. And the fried chicken (karaage) OMG. Plus they brought us incredible sake to taste and pair. Of course we were the only foreigners in the place. Would have ordered more but we closed the place LOL. Good food, good sake. They were sold out of a few items on the lunch menu, but that's probably because we went after 1pm.
