Yokkaichi, Mie, Japan｜Ikkan

Asked the chef for omakase and was not disappointed. Little bit of everything amazing about this restaurant. Craft beer, top notch shochu and amazing sushi selection that I never would have expected or selected for myself. Service was top notch and everyone was especially friendly. Top it off, the price was well within reason for an amazing treat in the heart of Yokkaichi.

Location: Located near the entrance of the shopping district near Yokkaichi Station. I used it for lunch.　Access is very good. However, there is no parking lot at the store. Price and what I ordered: I ordered the meal set for 1,200 yen excluding tax (1,320 yen including tax), and it came with a large serving of rice for free, so I went for it. Drinks included free rooibos tea. It was 2 types of curry (keema and shrimp, which may change depending on the day) + sambal (soup), rooibos tea + 2 types of rice + achar (pickles) + papad (rice crackers). Impressions: Unlike a typical Indian curry restaurant, it had rice with pickles instead of naan. Even though the rice was not Japanese, it went really well with the curry. The curry has quite a bit of spice and is not too oily, so it's delicious (maybe it's South Indian style?). The volume is much larger than it looks and I'm satisfied. I think there was a little too much rice compared to the curry, so I thought it would be nice to have some kind of side menu that goes well with the rice. Rooibos tea came for free, which I think is a good deal for the price, and the taste was different from the nearby Indian curry restaurants, which was also appealing. I would like to go again.

I visited you for lunch(^-^)/ The interior of the store is clean and refreshingly Japanese♪The BGM is jazz♪There is a counter♪ A comfortable atmosphere even for a single woman♪ ★Meals 1200 yen Oh! Wagyu beef curry o(^o^)o Rasam curry, papad, 4 types of rice, etc. It was a lot of fun and delicious ♪♪♪ I can drink rooibos tea over and over again.
