The hotel I stayed at was Hotel Mets, a JR East hotel adjacent to JR Mito Station, so it was about a 2-minute walk across the road to this store. My favorite, fried Mexicali, was indescribably delicious. It was a little bigger than the mejikari I buy in Tokyo, so I was worried that the bones would be hard, but my fears were just unfounded, and I was able to eat it deliciously from head to tail, with the meat and soft bones. I then ordered the offal stew set meal and ginger-grilled pork, but although I felt that the offal stew lacked a bit of punch, the base taste was delicious and home-style. Also, I was impressed by the delicious taste of the pork in the ginger-fried pork. Both the wife and husband were good people and easy to communicate with, so I would definitely like to visit them again the next time I go to Mito.
