A seemingly out of public sight izakaya, this one was located in what appeared to be a neighbourhood, settled inbetween some homes. When we entered, a few locals were enjoying themselves together, seemingly a bit confused that foreigners had found their place. The owner, a bit shy with English, quickly resorted to using a translator to help explain, which was very kind. The izakaya looked very wholesome and definitely set a positive mood, speaking for the owner's passion for both fishing and food. The food itself was absolutely worth it and not even remotely expensive, being prepared on a grill right at your table. It is quite sad that this place is rather out of the way, or I would have become a regular without a doubt. A small note, parking is available nearby enough, but it is still roughly a 3 to 4 minute walk to the izakaya itself.

About 10 minutes from Shin-Fuji Station, go down a country road and you will see a signboard. The store looks like a converted barn from a country house. It looks like the general is doing it alone. It's still bright outside, but there's a lot of drinking going on inside. It's starting. I went without a reservation, but there was an empty corner outside, so I decided to sit here. They say you can grill it outside in the hearth, but you can leave it to us and bring it to us. There's a wide range of drinks, and a variety of foods, mainly grilled foods. When most of the customers gathered, the inside of the restaurant was smoky, and the weather was nice, so it might be better to eat outside. We ate a lot and it cost 5-6,000 yen for two people. I found a really good store.

At first I went there using the navigation system, but it turned out to be further down an alley where I was like, "Huh? Should I go in here?" lol People traveling with large cars should be careful. That being said, the hideaway atmosphere is perfect. It's rare to find an izakaya with a hearth. You can bake to your liking, so it's perfect for people who want to do it at their own pace. Of course it's delicious. The prices are not too high, and the drink menu is also cheap. As other people have commented, the general manager is the only one running the business, so it's for people who have plenty of time. It has a homely atmosphere and I would go there often if it was near my house lol I recommend it!
