If you need to buy some snack I recommend to buy onigiri from MOMOCHI inside the JR station of Shinagawa. It is close to the platform of the Keihin Tohoku Line. This store offers typical rice balls from all over Japan since every region has its own "special" one. My favourite flavor is the one with fried Maitake mushrooms in it. (signed as second most popular onigiri "No.2"). There is nothing more Japanese than rice balls!

It is a rice ball shop introduced on TV. It's located in Shinagawa Station, so it's a place where you can casually drop by. If you come here, you can't miss the famous shrimp tempura rice ball. They are lined up in a glass case, but the shrimp are too big and stand out. Both the shrimp and the rice are soaked in flavor, so it's very delicious. Of course, there are quite a few types other than shrimp tempura, so I end up buying a lot of them. It's more expensive than the rice balls sold at convenience stores, but I think you'll be able to enjoy a taste that you wouldn't normally enjoy.
