It's big and very satisfying! On Saturday morning, when I went to Akasaka Sacas early, everyone was lined up, so I lined up as well. Looking at the menu, there are 10 items I would like to order. But I narrowed it down to 3 just because it's a big rice ball. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, I was led into the store, and when I ordered 3 pieces, a staff member gave me a gentle, concerned voice, asking, ``They're big, but are they okay?'' Of course I'm fine👌 Miso soup seems to be refillable. It was delicious!
[Visited on 2023.04.12] I had lunch at Onigiri Konga Akasaka Biz Tower branch in Akasaka, which had its grand opening on March 15, 2023. This is an affiliated store of Onigiri Bongo, a popular and famous Otsuka store. It's a small shop with about 10 seats at the counter, and there was a line, but the turnover was quick so I was able to get in right away. I got the impression that most of the customers were taking out. There are as many as 20 types of rice balls. There were some unusual ingredients, so I was confused as to which one to try while looking at the menu. The two rice balls I chose were egg yolk pickled in soy sauce and raw cod. The rice balls, which are made by wrapping soft white rice in high-quality seaweed, are worthy of being called a dish from a famous restaurant. The egg yolk pickled in soy sauce, which takes three hours to make, has a melt-in-the-mouth texture similar to egg-fried rice. For the raw cod roe, we use cod roe from Hokkaido, which has been carefully aged to enhance its flavor. There was plenty of it not only in the toppings but also in the rice, and the right amount of salt went perfectly with the rice ball, making it delicious.
