I bought it when transferring at Toyohashi Station while moving from Kanto to Nagoya using the Seishun 18 ticket. On this day, my arrival was delayed by an hour, and I couldn't eat hitsumabushi in Nagoya😓 When I looked at the ekiben shop, I saw that they were selling eel mabushi lunch boxes. I bought it without hesitation and ate it on the train heading to Nagoya. The eel had a strong taste, and the pickles were a nice accent.

When I go to Nagoya, I always get off at Toyohashi and buy Inari sushi from Tsuboya. Without a doubt, this is the best Inari sushi in Japan! I usually buy it inside Kalmia, but it's not open early in the morning, so this time I bought it inside the Shinkansen waiting room. Now it costs 610 yen (lol!), but until recently you could buy it with just one coin. You can buy it at Meitetsu Department Store in Nagoya and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, but since it's a department store item, it's expensive, so Toyohashi is the place to go. The wrapping paper has a retro design that hasn't changed since ancient times, and everything is simple and good. P.S. When I stopped by the other day, the price had increased to 670 yen.

Whenever I come to Toyohashi, I always come here to buy these two kinds of bento that I love. "Inari Maude" is mainly sushi and shrimp sushi, and I'm happy with various side dishes such as crab rolls, fried chicken, and shimeji tempura. "Sake Flavored Kushizukushi" offers a variety of skewered side dishes, starting with wild vegetable rice. In addition to this, there are various bento boxes that you can feel the emotions of traveling, and they are one of the pleasures of traveling. If you come to Toyohashi, how about trying this delicious bento?
