Omachi, Nagano, Japan｜Buta no Sanpo

I love ramen, and this is easily one of the best ramen places I've been to in Japan! It might even be my new favorite. The broth is pork-based, and it's very rich. I also recommend trying something with the black curry, which also has a rich, unique flavor. Highly recommend!

I tried the pork bone ramen dish and the broth (soup) was absolutely delicious. Sorry, I ate it before I could capture a picture of it. The flavours were spot on - concentrated but not too empowering, without the excessive 'porky' smell. They have an English menu albeit limited compared to the Japanese menu. Their signature pork bone ramen dish however comes with a slice of pork at 680yen so I would suggest to add on meat (this option isn't available in the English menu), suggest to order from the Japanese menu. The price is quite reasonable. Expect prices from 600-1200 yen depending on your add-ons.

Excellent ramen served here. We arrived close to closing time but they accepted us anyway. As it turned out others arrived well after closing time so worth checking if it's open
