Nagoya, Aichi, Japan｜Shimasho

Shimasho was often recommended to me by Nagoya locals. It lived up to all the expectations. Great place to go by yourself or with up to two people, I’d say. Will definitely be going again! There are no reservations for small groups of people, and from about 18:00 there was already a line of people waiting outside. I’d recommend going about 20 minutes before the time when you are expecting to eat, though it could easily be longer. The best things I tried were the miso oden moriawase (盛り合わせ), the chicken gizzard skewers (すなぎも), and the grilled peppers (ししとう). They had an izakaya style drink selection.

Fantastic local food! No English menu because no tourists here, famous for chicken wings, price a bit high but worth it!

Once you have been to Nagoya , I recommend this oden(Japanese stew with miso taste) and kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers). It has a nice atmosphere and good food menu. Everything I had was fantastic. I recommend torimasa someone who would like to experience Japanese bar as well. Near Fushini Sta. 3 minutes walk from Fushimi. It would be great to go night club around Sakae after going to torimasa. *Sakae is next to fushimi Sta. It takes about 10 minutes by walking
