The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and makes you feel like you've traveled back in time, and the miso oden and kushikatsu you can enjoy while watching the oden simmering behind the counter are the best. The blackest Nagoya-flavored oden I've ever seen. Radishes are black to the core. Personally, the taro oden was a hit. Kushikatsu and Oden are reasonably priced at 170 yen each. Cabbage will come out automatically. The meat on the kushikatsu is large for a restaurant like this, and it's filling.
Located a little far from Shinei Station Oden shop I didn't have a chance to go because the business hours are until 8pm, but I finally got around to it. There is only a counter inside the store. The shop owner is an elderly person who runs the shop by himself. Kanto-ni and miso oden are simmering in front of the counter. This time I ordered a service set. You can choose 5 skewers for rice and pickles. You can choose between Kanto-ni, miso oden, kushikatsu sauce or miso for the skewers. I had no experience with miso oden, so I ordered 3 miso kushikatsu with egg and fried tofu. Miso oden has a smooth taste without being thick and is easy to eat. All the kushikatsu are made from pork and are fried in front of the counter. You can add it to your miso oden. It's also nice to eat slowly while eating piping hot skewers. The owner is very polite and you will want to come back here again.
