Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan｜Rokuri

Superb dining experience! We had 4 dishes: French onion soup, squid aioli with fresh snow peas, sea bass over over mushrooms in a cream sauce and pork shoulder that melted off the bone over lentils. All plates were flavored and cooked to perfection. We also had glasses of French champagne and hot mulled wine, both of which were delicious. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes appropriate. The customer service was excellent! We would go back to try all the other dishes knowing that they will all be spot on.

This food was delicious! The wine was pretty good as well but expect slow dining as there are only 2 people working the restaurant at once. Would recommend

Delicious dishes with local ingredients, and they came with generous volume. Friendly owners made our experience in Karuizawa very welcoming! It takes a bit of time to get all dishes on the table, since there is one chef in the kitchen. However, overall I would definitely recommend this place.
