We saw the lovely auntie waving for us to come in and decided for this place among others. Both the owner and auntie were funny and lovely :) We had oden, beer, and highball and they were really good and came in large portion with reasonable price at the end. Although we dont speak japanese, they tried their best to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended!

It was my first solo trip to Shizuoka and I had decided to go to Aoba Oden Street for dinner, so I arrived at 5pm. Since it was my first time, I didn't know anything about the store, so I looked around to the back. Then, the owner called out to me with an energetic "Yes! Welcome!" so I entered the store without hesitation. This was a great help as most of the stores were difficult for first-time customers to enter. I was given lemon chuhai and Shizuoka oden to choose from. Of course, I was looking for the black hanpen, so I ate that. I see, it's like this, it's delicious! The seasoning may differ depending on the store, but it is a sweet soup. Beef tendon is a big piece of meat. It's like boiled lean meat without any streaks. Shinadamaki was a type of nerimono wrapped in nerimono. The radish is black, but it's not spicy, which is strange. Anyway, I enjoyed talking with the general. It was obvious that he had a good personality. It was 2,500 yen for 2 lemon chuhais and 6 dishes of Shizuoka oden. I didn't think it was boring. I would like to go see the general again. The oden is fragrant and soaked in black. Is the first bite delicious with atmosphere? is. It's not an elegant taste, but it's a strange taste that is not the taste of the common people. Prices are tourist prices. (About 27,000 yen for 3 people) There is no price tag on the items, as it is better to enjoy the same feeling as overseas sightseeing spots. Photos of customers are pasted in the store, so if locals come, they will know the owner, so I guess the price is reasonable. It was nostalgic and sad that I had this feeling in Japan. At least, if it was oden with a polite dashi soup, it wouldn't have been such a review. 5 stars to stand out as a reminder.
