Ueda, Nagano, Japan｜焼匠 正宗

It's a 2-3 minute walk from Oyu, and it was one of the best izakayas I've ever been to in a hot spring town. The extra-sized horse sashimi is generous in quantity and goes very well with the grated garlic. The yakitori in particular was delicious, perfectly grilled, and had the perfect amount of salt. I guess it's a good idea to have a meal after taking a bath. If I had to force it, it would be perfect if there was white rice on the menu.

Excuse me, but I went in without expecting much because it's an izakaya in a hot spring town, and I was embarrassed by the taste. Ueda is a town where people eat yakitori with sauce, and the chicken was actually really delicious. The horse sashimi was also brightly colored, and brought back the bitter memories of being served "still frozen" several times at another restaurant. I traveled to see famous hot springs, but I will definitely come back to this restaurant next time.

Horse sashimi and skewers are delicious. Japanese sake was also good with pure rice sake.
