Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan｜Hotokura Funari Kawaguchiko

We were very fortunate to arrive at the restaurant with no queue and were ushered to our table immediately. This restaurant also has a view of Mount Fuji. Our meal came promptly and it was very delicious. We tried their local noodle and roast beef. There also lots of parking available.

We waited around 20 minutes, but were desperate for some food after a long day in the Fuji area. They have a QR code system where you can view your position in the queue on your phone. The inside of the restaurant is unique with big tables and with a traditional Japan vibe. The portion sizes were bigger than expected for the price, and the food was really good. The breaded potato side was so good with the ramen! Worth the wait :)

Popular spot for the regional specialty Hoto noodles, for good reason. Despite being a busy restaurant, the lady who took our order was super patient and kind enough to fiddle with our translation app to sort out my allergies. Didn’t get to eat the Hoto but the rest who did enjoyed it very much and definitely 5-star for the honest and sincere service here!
