Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜海さくらミチマロ＆蝦夷海

A great place for Hokkaido seafood dinner. The look of the food itself was interesting and fun. The staff were so friendly although they couldn’t speak English, they tried their best to explain the menu to foreign guests. We could have a tower of fresh seafood. Worth to visit. Also they have a cute menu.

My last meal in Hokkaido this summer, on a rainy deserted Sunday night in central Sapporo - and what a great choice! The food was fantastic - from seafood (sushi with mountain wasabi and octopus grilled on a stone in front of you) to lamb to huge (but still tender and tasty) mushroom tempura. The staff were friendly and helpful - they took my assault on the Japanese language with good humour, and spoke enough English to work through the nuances of the specials menu and chat about my time in Hokkaido. Great place and a great way to end my trip.
