More Comments at Google MapWhat a fantastic bite! I tried the daikon (radish) with spicy sauce and it was the most surprising and delicious snack I ever had! It was juicy and tender inside. They also have sweet options as well. Highly recommended if you want to discover local delicacies.
There was a wide variety of oyaki and it was delicious. The gomoku inari I bought with the meal was so delicious that I managed to bring it back to Hiroshima as a souvenir. Recommended if you want to buy oyaki.
On the approach to Zenkoji Temple, there are definitely shops selling Nagano's famous ``Oyaki'' food. I thought it was a must-try along with my visit, so I had it at Sanyasou on Daimon-dori. Onigiri and pork buns are a little different. Since the skin is made from wheat, it's more like a pork bun. The most popular "Spicy Daikon Oyaki" (160 yen) and the ultra-standard "Nozawana Oyaki" (160 yen) are freshly baked on the bench in front of the store. There are plenty of ingredients wrapped in a thin skin. The fresh sweetness of the vegetables fills your mouth and is delicious. One oyaki was as satisfying as one bento. The skin plays a completely supporting role, but it's still delicious on its own. It seems that all of the food at this restaurant is made by local mothers. It was so delicious that I even bought a non-oyaki version (lol)
