This little shop is a bit out of the way, but absolutely worth the detour. Ordered the dipping soba set with yam, and it goes incredibly well with the fresh wasabi. It's definitely a fun experience to grate it yourself and try what real wasabi (and not horseradish) tastes like, and the soba noodles have a very nice bite to them. Prices are very reasonable, and they have seats that overlook the wasabi farm below. Very worth a stop if you have a car.

香高い山葵を心ゆくまで楽しめる名店でした。山葵好きは必ず訪れる事をお勧めします！ -THE BEST WASABI & SOBA RESTAURANT EVER- I recommend all tourists who loves Japanese foods to visit here. Wasabi, also called Japanese horseradish in here tastes excellent!!! The owner, also the hostess of this restaurant is a wasabi farmer and she knows everything of wasabi as well as organic local foods. I'm sure you will be satisfied with the wasabi cuisines if you like the smell & taste of wasabi. My recommendations are Soba with wasabi, Wasabi-Inari, and Wasabi-Chazuke.
