This is definitely the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in Tokyo in a Chinese restaurant not in Ikebukuro! Obviously most of the staff are Japanese, and the cooking is not the "authentic Chinese food" style of those restaurants in Ikebukuro, but it is very delicious. It's both authentic and delicious. I have never had Mapo Tofu with chunks of stewed beef in Chinese food, but this innovation is very successful. The braised pork ribs with pickled cabbage are also very fragrant. If I have to say a shortcoming, a lot of the meat is a bit too fat. Secondly, sometimes it feels not spicy enough, but it does not affect the aroma.

Spacious, family-friendly Kyoto-style izakaya that also sells ceramic wares. Great place for set lunch or a-la-carte dinner. Has an emphasis on simple & seasonal ingredients.
