It was an izakaya located behind the accommodation. I remember the staff who were friendly without fuss. The food was average, and the sweet potato soju was plentiful and cheap.

Kyushu's classic dishes such as mustard lotus root and horse sashimi are all delicious and there is a wide variety on the menu. The shochu is a shop where you can discover something new every time you visit, from standard shochu to new sake from each brewery and seasonal summer shochu. It's popular so reservations are required.

There is a wide selection of shochu available. The food was also very delicious and I was very satisfied. It seems to be a popular restaurant and you can't get in unless you make a reservation.
