Came here because e-METRO Taiwan Gourmet Stamp Rally, it’s located inside Whity Umeda-NOMOKA (underground). Looks like kinda street food-atmospheric from outside: how you can see the gyoza making place & kitchen even before you enter the restaurant. The music loudness is okay, and it’s having mahjong-look like neon signs inside, so cute and aesthetic! Even they have retro-ish TV 📺 Went for lunch on weekdays. Lunch on weekdays until 17:00; weekend until 15:00. Tried the Luxurious Taiwanese Lunch Set that you can choose 1 of 3 main dishes (Chicken Nanban, Drunken Chicken?, and Shrimp Mayo). Also tried the Taipei Stick Gyoza (it’s their signature!!). The staff recommended to tried the gyoza without anything first, and with the special shouyu, and Taiwanese gyoza sauce. It tastes kinda sweet with the sauces but still very umami inside. Ordered chicken nanban for the main and it’s using kinda dark-black-ish sauce, yet it’s so good and tastes different from usual chicken nanban in Japanese restaurants. Salad bowl looks small but it’s deep, so I feel so satisfied with the portion. Free refills for the white rice & egg-drop soup! 💕 Also got small portion of almond pudding as dessert and cute lantern decoration (sadly it’s not lighting up hahah) Except the counter seats, all tables look like American-style dinner table (?), and kinda high table so I think kinda hard for children and people with wheel chairs. They don’t have basket or place to put bag so when I just entered, the staff immediately said “you can hang your bag / stuff in the hook below the table” (I’m at counter table). And it’s okay to drink alcohol from afternoon! (I didn’t try alcohol drinks so no comment on this). As a Taiwanese, this is really what Taiwanese dumpling taste! Really recommend to anyone wants to try Taiwanese food! Awesome
