Misato, Saitama, Japan｜White Gyoza Misato Store

One of a kind gyoza. Totally worth it. Restaurant seats maybe ~20 max.

Since I was a child, white gyoza was a popular takeout menu item near my parents' house. Since back then, I would always ask my aunt, a relative who lived near Atago Station on the Tobu Noda Line, to come and buy it for me because it would sell out soon after the store opened. Ten years have passed since then, and I am beyond happy to say that we are now one of the best gyoza brands in Japan. The skin is thicker and the flavor of the filling is different from ordinary gyoza, and if anything, the style follows the style of baozi from the Manchurian region of China. These white gyoza dumplings are a hit with everyone and are great with beer or rice, and are now very popular at our house. I left my hometown a long time ago in Oita and haven't been to the main store for a long time, but I happened to come across the Misato store and had take-out for the first time in a long time, and thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgic flavors to my heart's content.
