What a cool find in Koenji! Lots of gins we hadn’t seen before (and we’ve seen a lot) and delicious burrata and peach. The owner was super friendly and took time to help us select gins even though we don’t speak Japanese. Great music and atmosphere too - lovely break from the hustle and bustle.

American visitor here. I had checked into a nearby Airbnb and wandered the streets for a late night meal. I noticed a sign that read The Day Food Lab and it sounded and looked intriguing. I bounded up the stairs to explore and opened the door to an eclectic, relaxed restaurant with cozy seating and a shelf of curated gins and scotches on the shelf. I didn’t know the cuisine they specialized in and my confusion must have been easy to read. However, the staff and several patrons at the bar quickly helped explain that they served phenomenal Italian food. I took a seat immediately, excited by the decor, vibe and friendliness of the patrons. When the food came out, I ate at the bar and chatted with the chef and server, both extremely nice people. The food was amazing. They also curated some scotches I had never seen before and sampled a few throughout the meal. Because of the excellent food and friendly staff, my evening became particularly memorable and cherished. I can’t recommend this place enough, definitely check it out!

Love this place! Amazing range of gin. Great food. We had the omakaze course and there was plenty of food and well price at around ¥3500 per person. Had some incredible gin! Looking forward to going back again soon.
