Odawara, Kanagawa, Japan｜Marron

I sometimes stop by on my way home from shopping. There don't seem to be many coffee shops like Maron around Odawara Station... The prices are reasonable compared to other stores, and it's easy to enter and feel comfortable. The staff are very kind. It seems to have become a base for elderly local people. I'm usually on the first floor (there are stairs to the second floor as well), but sometimes I'll exchange a few words with people I don't know. It's a shop with an atmosphere like no other. I often eat parfait. It's voluminous and delicious. I also like Neapolitan. Apparently they use fresh pasta, but it's thick and has a surprising amount of elasticity and chewy texture! Then there's the grilled sandwich. Both are very satisfying and will fill you up. However, please note that even though it is located next to the station, it closes early at 18:00.

I went in casually, but was surprised at how delicious the mango parfait was. The base is plain yogurt, nata de coco, and firm puffs. While many parfaits are stuffed with cornflakes and cheap fresh cream, I was satisfied with the solid parfait. The shaved ice at Uji Kintoki was also delicious with a solid chunk of shiratama and red beans. I want to stop by again.

A relaxing coffee shop that has been around for a long time. There used to be a lot of coffee shops in the old days, but now there are only this coffee shop. This is a coffee shop that should and should remain.
