Cash only! Affordable lunch. On Thursday, I had something to do at the public hall and went to Ogino Chaya to have lunch, but it was closed. So, I came to this Saboten, but the shop was full after 12 o'clock! I entered after waiting for about 10 minutes. When I asked what could be served first, I was told it was fried horse mackerel, which is the daily lunch special, so I ordered it as advised by the restaurant. It was a fried horse mackerel made with 3 small horse mackerel. Quite a lot for 850 yen. The tartar sauce is also homemade. The accompanying cabbage salad It had a refreshing sour taste. I asked for half the usual amount of rice. I'm completely satisfied. Since it's in front of Nagoya Institute of Technology, I'm sure it's a student-friendly store. I was looking at the menu later. Apparently the yakiniku set meal is Hida beef. So, isn't 1,300 yen cheap? The most expensive menu item is the pork steak set meal for 1,500 yen. It's interesting that it's more expensive than Hida beef. Next time I want to try the Yakiniku set meal.
