The interior of the restaurant retains the atmosphere of an old-fashioned soba restaurant. This time I ordered Kenchin udon and Tenzaru. It was delicious.

I visited Mitsuruga Soba in Higashijujo. There's no menu outside the store, and it's hard to see inside... The entrance was a bit high, but once I got inside, it was a wonderful restaurant that felt like a relaxing set meal restaurant in the countryside, with good taste and good prices! I ordered the set menu Katsudon Set Mori Soba for 1000 yen. Looking around at what other people are ordering, both the soba and katsudon seem to be a little smaller than the individual items. Even so, the katsudon was packed full of rice and meat and was quite filling! With a slightly strong seasoning, the soupy cutlet bowl goes perfectly with rice. The cutlet was a loin with plenty of fat and was just the right size. The soba noodles were easy to slurp and were delicious and perfect for summer! The pickled vegetables that came with the dish were authentic, like something you would eat at your grandmother's house in the countryside, and I was very impressed! At the end, we had a thick soba soup that was delicious until the end ☺️ The menu was extensive, and the owner and his wife's gentle customer service made it a comfortable restaurant. I would like to go there from now on! Thank you for the meal!

It's been a long time since I last visited Mitsuruga-san for the first time in decades. The inside of the restaurant is still the same as before, with table seats and tatami mat seats, and in the kitchen are the elderly husband and wife of Mr. Miruga, who I think is his daughter, and it is up to me to entertain the customers. At that time, the wife was there, and the husband was also there. The taste of the food was very delicious. I think it would be good for those who want to eat slowly without worrying about the time.What do you think?
