Bloody amazing food. Had the beef gristle and tofu and it was delectable. From a western standpoint, the dish didn't look that good but i haven't tasted many things richer, meatier and more flavoursome. Prices were good and it's a great place to sit in the evenings

After enjoying the Awa Odibri festival, this izakaya really hit the spot! The staff warmly welcomed us and provided menus with English titles. Might I suggest the the Kimoni stew and kimchi radish? They go great with a cold one. Try this place if you are looking for a good place to begin a night out.

Best meal I’ve had in Tokyo. You will NOT beat the authenticity of this izakaya. Completely unassuming, not pretentious mastery of peasantry cuisine. The flavours were sublime, service instant and food of fantastic flavour and quality. Please, if you’re a tourist and reading this - step out of your comfort zone and order the quirky. Beef Gristle is highly recommended. Braised pork and potato Shirotacki glass noodles and tofu Dead cheap. If you’re a tourist you’ll need to raise the waiter with ‘sumimasen’ and make the effort to speak Japanese. You have to come here.
