End of July 2023. A long time ago in the basement of the Kinokuniya main store, my father told me about this shop. When I was walking around Tokyo, I used to eat here after buying a book at Kinokuniya. I liked the dark and dark brown interior of the store before the relocation, but it has become a very sophisticated and bright store. The current shop also has calm music playing quietly, and it is a wonderful shop where you can forget the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku for a moment. The taste has not changed at all since long ago, and every menu is really elaborate and delicious. It's not too thick or too thin, but it's gentle, and somehow nostalgic. We recommend that you stop by when you have business in Shinjuku.

I visited for lunch (thick-sliced ​​pork sauté) on a weekday. Of course, the food is very delicious and satisfying. There are many restaurants around Kabukicho, but this is recommended for those who want to eat in a calm atmosphere. The ladies in the hall were also friendly and I had a pleasant meal.

it's one of my favourite stores. First of all, the appetizer is cute. It is always so crowded that it is written on the register that if you are going with 3 or more people, make a reservation in advance. The menu covers everything from set meals to side dishes with sake, and you can drink delicious sake anyway. It's fun to have something different every time you go because they rarely have very rare Japanese sake! In addition to the menu written on the menu table, there are many menus posted on the wall, which change little by little with the seasons. A shop where you can enjoy just looking at the walls. It's a warm shop where you can get miso soup as a service if you stay until closing time.
