Ever since I encountered authentic Oyaki in Nagano, I have been eating it every time I visit the prefecture. Up until now, Sakata Confectionery Store was my only choice when it came to Azumino, but this time I felt like exploring other stores. This is my first visit here, and from the moment I entered the store, I felt an unusually "authentic" atmosphere. I ordered "Tsunatama (¥320)" which is a little unusual from today's lineup. The first thing you'll be surprised by is how huge the steaming oyaki is. I had the ash-grilled oyaki at Ogawa no Sho, but the texture and aroma of the skin were on a higher level. There is not much seasoning added to the Tsunatama (= tuna & onion), and it feels like the tuna is seasoning the onion itself. This is only possible if you have confidence in the material. I couldn't help but order extra Tsunatama and ``Mix (¥320)'' to my take-out order, and it was kept warm until I left. By the way, the mix is ​​also really delicious, with radish in addition to onions and carrots? cabbage? Contains crunchy vegetables. In contrast to tsunatama, this yaki is flavored directly with miso. In the back of the store, behind the glass, they are diligently making oyaki one after another. Apparently it takes 40 minutes to make one piece. This is a store that I would definitely like to visit again in the future.
