More Comments at Google MapThe place is located at a mall. It specialized in ochakuze (tea rice). I ordered the one with sea bream and yellowtail and added tuna on top. It was very good. After eating half of it, I poured in the tea and it was a whole different flavour.
Amazing and unique food! Rice bowls that you can eat as is, or turn into a flavourful ochazuke as you like. Both ways are delicious, and it's fun to switch back and forth to keep it interesting. The seafood toppings are fresh, and you can add even more variety with the different sauces and condiments they have. Bit of a wait to get a seat, but definitely worth it!
Good place to try ochazuke during your trip to Japan 😋 Located inside Lumine EST connected to Shinjuku station, on the 7th floor. There was a queue(chairs provided) at almost 3pm in the afternoon, but moves fast and didn’t have to wait long. They have raw fish and cooked options like chicken and vegetarian iirc so it’s great to go with someone who doesn’t appreciate raw options. They provided us with an English guide on how to have our Ochazuke meal properly. First to mix and eat as it is - can add free toppings provided at the table, tastes like a Japanese poke bowl. After eating more than halfway, to add the dashi provided and end it like a soupy rice meal. 😋 The taste of this meal might not be to everyone’s liking, but it’s nice to try something different!
