Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan｜日本料理 楽只

My host in Japan brought me and others to this restaurant. We enjoyed a 9 course meal. As someone with very little experience of traditional Japanese dining, this was exquisite. Interesting menu with fresh and high quality ingredients, what else can one ask for on a night out in Yokohama!

A Japanese restaurant that specializes in fermented dishes. At around 15,000 yen for a drink and a course, it's not cheap by any means, but it was a highly satisfying restaurant. It's also interesting that the menu is a mystery and can be a conversation starter with the people you're going with. Personally, I found the straw-grilled fermented flounder, cutlassfish, and bonito to be delicious. It was my first time trying fig tempura and I was impressed. Above all, you can't miss the sea bream chazuke. The overall volume is large, so if you're a small eater, it might be a good idea to adjust your stomach so you can eat the sea bream chazuke. The owner of the shop was also kind and nice!

I used it for a dinner party with my parents after praying for a safe delivery at Hiranumabashi Suitengu Shrine. Although the dishes were fermented, the flavors of the ingredients were vivid and delicious. In particular, the steamed clay pot was very popular with everyone. Although it was lunch time, the food was served according to the speed of eating, which I was very grateful for. I'm sorry for having to stay for so long. I want to use it again!
