Very good meal after a long time

Quality lunch

There is such a thing as ``Tenmusu.'' It's a small round bite-sized rice ball with shrimp tempura on top and a sweet and salty tempura sauce. This is so cute. I usually enjoy it as a snack in a lunch box at a meeting. It's in the "Nagoya Meshi" folder, but you don't see it very often, and there are various theories that it originated in Mie no Tsu. There is a restaurant in the underground shopping center of Sakae, Nagoya where you can eat ``Tenmusu'' in eat-in style. This is Jiraiya. There are five tables in the restaurant, and perhaps because they have a policy of not sharing tables even when it's crowded, time passes slowly, with the majority of women sitting alone in the four-person seats and enjoying the tempura. I am. Since it was my first time, I chose the "Jiraiya Set Meal" (980 yen), which is the name of the restaurant. In addition to 5 pieces of tempura, charabuki, and red soup stock, there are 2 small bowls of simmered and vinegared dishes. It also comes with sweets like matcha-flavored soft mizu-yokan. This is pretty gorgeous. What I noticed was that Tenmusu was ``warm''. This may be natural since it's a eat-in place, but I don't often get the chance to eat freshly made tempura, so it was very warm and delicious. The red soup stock is very strong, and it's also good in small bowls when you want to eat a variety of things. You can also add tempura one by one, so it is suitable for people who want to eat a lot. Compared to kishimen or miso cutlet, you don't have many opportunities to come across ``tenmusu'', but it's definitely worth a try at least once as you can easily enjoy the charm of freshly made tempura.
