Nigami is great for so many reasons. 1. Zu-san. He is really interesting. Well-traveled, open-minded, wonderful guy. 2. Standing bar for sake and izakaya bar food, which means affordable. 3. It's a beautiful, cozy bar. Nice atmosphere. People will talk to you, probably immediately. But it also feels safe. 4. It's non-smoking. This could be bad for smokers, but for others it's a plus. 5. The food is delicious and unique. Everything pairs excellently with sake. I recommend the shirako tempura (白子天ぷら). If those aren't enough reasons to go, then go and find your own reasons.
