More Comments at Google MapFound this gem on the way to Costco. Reminds me of the dinners in California I grew up with like Mel’s. Great ambience great music and killer burgers. My kid kept saying how great his cheeseburger was- and my chitafornia burger was excellent. Also one of the few places I’ve found in japan that know what a root beer float is! Clean, nice relaxed staff, and happy details. Price is about normal for burgers in japan. Kid friendly and seems popular local joint.
Beautiful retro interior, delicious burgers and milk shakes. Pretty cool place to spend some time.
Hamburger was big and tasty. I would like to try a cheese burger next time. French fries were fine, as were the onion rings. They also offer Chita beef for an additional charge. You can top your burger with bacon, avocado and what have you. The cocktail I ordered was very stout--- quite surprised actually, pleasantly that is. My only complaint is that the chips were stale. But, that's not a deal breaker. Thanks Central Diner, I enjoyed my lunch today! Addendum: I went again today and had the upgraded version aka Chita Beef cheeseburger. I was hoping to do a side by side with a regular cheese burger, but do to monetary constraints and inability to eat two decent sized burgers I could only eat the premium (Chita Beef) cheeseburger. Alright, I asked for no veggies and grilled onions with mayo on the side. My thoughts being mayo and cheese are a solid combo, as is tomato and mustard. Well my burger came out looking like a champ, tasted great and I did dab it in some mustard at the end. Somehow the waitress and myself forgot the mayonnaise. No biggie though. If you can afford the additional cost, pull that trigger and you'll be glad. Last thought. If you decide to go at lunch, try the weekdays, you can add fries and a drink for a few hundred yen more. Whereas the weekend they don't offer this combo. Thanks Central Diner! I'll be back.
