Gifu, Japan｜Golden Chicken

Really good food at this nice Mexican restaurant. The staff is really friendly and they also sell some doughnuts from "Agata Donuts" after 6pm. I am so excited to try them since tomorrow I will leave before the shop opens, but they do look delicious! Be careful of the portion size as the food is a lot, but really yummy 😋

I tried their Roast Chicken Plate (ローストチキンプレート) and swiped rice for tortilas, and it was very delicious! I was shocked when I saw the volume, I got so many things just for ¥1000! I got half chicken, salsa, and other dipping sauces, It’s super worth it. The clerks was polite and friendly, and the shop is clean and stylish. Definitely will come back to try another menu. Edit: came back and actually tried another menu! This time I tried their chicken and vegetables burrito, voluminous and delicious as always!

I went to golden chicken for lunch a few days ago. I’d consistently heard really good things about this place so I wanted to try the food for myself. It was very good. I ordered the golden chicken burrito set which came with fried potatoes(potato wedges, hash potato pieces and a good amount of fries). It was great. The burrito was huge so it took me a long time to finish everything, but I felt very satisfied afterwards. The prices are also very reasonable as the whole set cost only ¥1,300 in total. Water is self serve so you don’t need to feel obliged to order a drink either. I am already looking forward to my next visit and am excited to try more of the menu. Great western/Mexican food only a few minutes from Meitetsu Gifu station. Worth a look. 5 stars⭐️
