Walked past this nice place. They have english menus. For the curious, the 赤 (red) means they will marinate it spicy sauce. The chicken yakitori is made with the thigh meat, very nice. I recommend having chicken skin (kawa) as well.

Epic Izukaya! Super friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, fast and well priced. The drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is buzzing. They have an English menu too.

As two foreigners, we felt completely accepted and warmly welcomed dining near closing time. Place was packed with locals! This Izakaya does allow smoking, but honestly it’s well ventilated and you only really get a faint aroma if you tend to dislike it. Great classic seating options up the back, interior design is amazing as though it hasn’t been touched in 30-40years. Food was fantastic! The Zengi (Sapporo Karaage) was beautifully juicy and went well with the wonderful Potato Salad. I would also recommend the homemade shochu/Apple Highball. Large drinks that get you beyond tipsy from one glass but don’t even taste of alcohol for <$5? This place has it all. We’ll be back!!
