I bought turban shells at the fishermen's cooperative's direct sales store. It's cheaper than the market price and it's kept in a fish tank, so it's better to live than the ones in the supermarket. The fried horse mackerel from the restaurant across from the fish tank that I ate at lunch is very large.Is this price good? If you can't eat all of it, you can get a take-out pack for free, so don't worry if you don't know how much.

I looked around at most of the roadside stations along the coast from Choshi, and this one was the cheapest, depending on the item. Souvenirs, especially those related to whales and locally produced items, were also cheaper than at the hotel.

I went there as part of the roadside station stamp rally. The fried horse mackerel from the restaurant here (I forgot the name!) was the best! Anyway, it's huge! Just one piece will make you very satisfied! The batter is crispy and the body is fluffy! Since it's in Chiba prefecture, I can't really go there...
