More Comments at Google MapAbout 5 minutes walk from Kurashiki Station. If you go down the stairs to the basement of a building facing the main street and go further back, you will find a hidden obanzai shop. There are counter seats and table seats, so it's easy to visit even if you're alone. More than 10 types of obanzai are lined up at the counter near the entrance, and if you order in front of them, they will put them in a small bowl and bring them to your seat. Boiled chicken liver, mapo tofu, bitter melon champuru, eggplant miso, horse mackerel? It's fun to choose from a diverse lineup of sanbai vinegar, vinegared dishes, salads, and rakkyo. I didn't drink alcohol that day, but there are many options on the menu that even those who like alcohol can enjoy. Each of the vessels ranges from folk crafts to new creations by artists, and it's fun just looking at them from the counter. Indirect lighting creates a calming space. Looking at the customers, I thought that this is a restaurant that is loved by locals as well.
It is underground and is like a hideout. The obanzai is also very delicious, and of course the dishes on the menu are full of commitment! A selection of Japanese sake. It is a hidden famous restaurant that only those in the know know.
A shop that seems to be delicious after a long time. The taste of the obanzai is just right, and my mother praises the gentle taste of the lotus root manju. One of the shops I want to stop by when I come to Kurashiki again. Thank you for your meal
