Hiroshima, Japan｜Seasonal Dishes and Grilled Food "Tsukiakari"

Great place to try Anago Meshi. I ordered the Deluxe set and it was pretty decent. The dish came with Anago on a bed of rice, with nori(toasted seaweed) and wasabi & yuzu (citrus fruit), and my favorite sansho (Japanese pepper). They also provide you with an instruction sheet in English on how to eat it.

Went for lunch and ordered their conger eel set menu with fried oysters for ~¥1850. It was delicious! The eel had just the right amount of seasoning sauce to coat the rice underneath it; the fried oysters were crispy and meaty, and the pickled vegetables brightened the whole dish. I would definitely go again. The restaurant had a traditional vibe, was peaceful and felt removed from the street noise. The staff was courteous and provided us with an English menu.
